Buildings from the turn of the century, fancy shops, original cafés, trendy bars and top quality restaurants are characteristic of the Belgian Quarter and make it a popular neighbourhood for shopping and going out.
You can easily get to us – preferably by public transport, which means no drink-driving limit. The station “Friesenplatz“ with four underground lines is not far; it is a 5-minute walk to the “Westbahnhof”. If you come by car, it is best to leave it in the public car park at “Maastrichter Straße”.
We offer some 50 seats inside and more outside, weather permitting, where you can enjoy excellent food and wine. Sorgenfrei’s (the name means carefree) cuisine leaves a lasting impression and is focused on the essentials – for everyone who simply enjoys better food.
There is a classical monthly menu with unconventional wine recommendations. “Einfach sorgenfrei“ (simply carefree) is the name for our small innovative dishes, which can be composed whichever way you fancy to enjoy a 3 to 5-course menu.
Our classic Steak frites has been on the menu from day one and is still one of our bestsellers; it comes with home-made fries and Sauce Béarnaise.
Our Wine Bar
The “Open Wine Bar“ with its own bar food menu was introduced in 2018 after our reconstruction.
This is the place to enjoy an aperitif, a relaxed glass or a wine cocktail and a range of tasty small snacks in case you are feeling a bit peckish.
The presentation of bottles on the wall is basically our list of wines by the glass. But the extensive list of bottles of wine made from grapes from the classical wine-growing regions of Europe is definitely worth exploring. Cheers!
